The UK to Leave the EU

After the votes, and ‘leave’ is to occur, we find that one of the ‘greatest’ achievements quoted by David Cameron for his Prime Ministerial time in office was... same sex marriage! To me, this sums up his real worth, which isn’t much. Others said kind words about him and they, too, quoted same-sex marriage!

"I believe we've made great steps, with more people in work than ever before in our history, with reforms to welfare and education, increasing people's life chances, building a bigger and stronger society, keeping our promises to the poorest people in the world and enabling those who love each other to get married whatever their sexuality, but above all restoring Britain's economic strength." (The Mirror, 24 June 2016)

That is how wicked rulers think. As for those who voted to stay in – they did so either because they thought just about their own lives and what benefits they had from the EU, or they were ignorant as to what constitutes fascism and its growing wickedness. As for us, we had a very different reason to want to leave.

Many Christians are joyous about this vote, but why?

It is certainly what we at BTM urged readers to do many times – vote ‘out’. But, I feel no joy as such.

The ‘leave’ vote is just the start of a new era, and I can assure you that it will not be much better than what went before.

The country was split by the referendum, but that is how it has to be. There is nothing more polarised than sin and holiness!

It will all be uphill – but with a sense of freedom from totalitarianism, which we must now fight in Britain as the dust settles.

There is a huge amount of work to be done now that we will come away from the EU (though I hope not simply to join a Norwegian-style liaison, which, though not a full union, nevertheless is tied to the EU, but cheaper!). Laws passed to this point will remain on the books, unless large groups manage to convince government they should go. The economy will be shaky for a short while but will pick up.

Islamic migration should be stopped immediately. The EU will find petulant ways to punish us. But, the whole thing for us was about sovereignty and leaving a fascist regime. From now on we will have to begin again, and this is where Christians must face the Lord and the people with genuine changes and repentance.

In a previous long email I mentioned Nebuchadnezzar and his capture of the Jewish king, Jehoiachin.

Jehoiachin was in prison for 37 years and was then let out, to be treated as the other vassal kings. He had his life, but at what price? And just a few years before, the new governor of Jerusalem (which was by then of no worth), Gedeliah, was assassinated by a Jewish general, Ishmael, because he told the army to obey the Chaldee masters under Babylon.

Before that, Zedekiah was forced to watch the Babylonian captors killing his sons, before he himself had his eyes put out by a hot poker or knife, prior to being taken in a cage to Babylon.

As I said a few days ago I see the EU situation in these last chapters of 2 Kings. Now we have a ‘leave’ vote I continue to see the application of 2 Kings to our situation. In the 600 years before Christ, God warned the Jews time and again to repent and turn back to Him. Unlike human beings, God means what He says and His warnings were the precursor to judgment on the Jews and their kings. Each time a new king arose in Israel or Judah, scripture tells us that the wicked kings led the people into foul sins and paganism. This was said as a reminder that the fall of both countries came about as a punishment from God. It will also be our fate if we do not listen.

But, see what happened when Josiah took the throne of Judah – God told him two things: that Judah WOULD be punished to the most extreme degree, and, that because Josiah was true to God and lived an holy life, he would be spared the destruction of Judah in his own lifetime.

How do I apply this to today? Well, God has already judged Britain. As a country we have allowed in countless false gods, immoral acts, and have deliberately chosen to vote for wicked leaders.

As a whole we have chosen to support homosexuality and Islam. These are just the identifiable tips of grave sins underneath the national character, for which the country has been judged by God. The ‘leave’ vote has only given us a respite, one given by a righteous Lord Who has witnessed our laxity and sinful attitudes. Thus, we are more or less at the stage we find Josiah in.  Judgment WILL fall, because it has been prophesied in scripture, but He has listened to the prayers and deep repentance of many of His people. So, for the moment, we have been spared. We should not be whooping with joy, but we should be on our knees, asking the Lord to forgive us.

Be glad that God has shown us this temporary salvation from the fascism of the EU, but realise that such fascism is still to be found in our government. And fascism is just a form of atheism.

What next? Christians must now stand up and be counted. We must tell the world that Jesus Christ is the answer to their sins, and we must repudiate the claims of all other false religions, especially Islam. We must show government that while Cameron thinks same sex marriage makes him worthy, that it certainly does the opposite. It is a wickedness that drags a nation down.

Many kings in the Old Testament got rid of homosexuals, some by death and some by deportation. The New Testament teaches us that these wicked people must never be given social or legal support, and that what they do is an abomination God will punish on the day of judgment. Thus, in so many ways, genuine Christians MUST polarise themselves from the fake ‘Christians’
who readily support evil. There are so many things we must now do, which should have been done many times before.

Christians must now prove their worth and their spiritual heritage, which is above politics and allegiance to a Party.

Then, and only then, will God stay His hand against us, as He did with Judah during the reign of Josiah.

Do not, then jump for joy at the referendum result. Rather, be grateful to God for at least removing the danger of staying in the EU.

Work hard to prove yourselves; show the country who you are and what you stand for. Such work transcends all politics.
