Frontex, the European Army, start border controls

"I am pleased to announce that today Frontex has signed with the Greek authorities the operational plan that will allow the deployment of the Rapid Intervention Border teams (Rabit) as of 2 November, with an anticipated duration of up to two months (along the Greek/Turkish border)," EU home affairs commissioner Cecilia Malmstrom said in a statement on Friday evening. (EUObserver, 30 October 2010)

There are two issues here - one is that the EU will not stop illegals from entering the UK, and, second, this is the start of a move towards developing an EU army.
